Robert Romaine

Robert Romaine has been with Axis since the year 2000.  In 1992, Mr. Romaine received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. His job experience before joining Axis included working as an in-house architectural draftsman and designer for a medium-sized New Jersey Design-Construction Company.  Mr. Romaine’s time spent in the construction industry gave him invaluable exposure to building techniques for many medium-scale commercial development projects.  With the firm’s focus on interior office environments, Mr. Romaine has worked directly with building landlords, building engineers, subcontractors and the corporate end-users.

While working with the contracting firm, Mr. Romaine gained extensive field experience, from surveying to on-site supervision during construction.  He’s had opportunities to prepare construction cost estimates, review shop drawings and prepare schedules and budgets. Since joining Axis, he has further developed his skills as an architect and is preparing for the architectural licensing exam in New Jersey.  Mr. Romaine was responsible for the initial set up of the company’s computer system, including CAD, templates for various software and our network system. He currently manages those tasks for Axis Architectural Group and keeps our firm running on the cutting edge of technology.

Mr. Romaine is an excellent AutoCAD draftsman and designer who can successfully design and detail a project from start to finish. Aside from drafting and managing our computer systems, he is responsible for gathering information on new building products and construction systems.

His skills also include the following computer programs:
AutoCAD, DataCAD, SketchUP, Paint Shop Pro, various Adobe Creative programs,  Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (including Word; Excel, Access, Outlook, Publisher and FrontPage) as well as various networking and web design programs.
